Update: University officials announced through the Eagle Alert system that campus would be closed all day on Tuesday. The alert went out at approximately 9:43 a.m.

UNT will open at noon on Tuesday after ice had shut down the campus for five straight days, UNT officials said.

University officials had previously said that the school would be open without a delay through an Eagle Alert on Monday at approximately 1:47 p.m. UNT amended the announcement with the delay later that night at approximately 9:35 p.m.

The Denton Independent School District will be closed on Tuesday, while other school districts from the surrounding area have reported a mixture of openings and closures.

A revised schedule for final exams will be posted at http://registrar.unt.edu/, but there is no update at press time.
